Film Director Portfolio
Antonia Ackermans is a passionate film director dedicated to capturing the essence of human experiences and emotions through the art of filmmaking. Her work reflects a deep commitment to storytelling and a unique perspective on the world. With a focus on predominantly human-centric documentaries, Antonia's films explore the intersection of art and sustainability, delivering thought-provoking narratives that inspire and enlighten.
Born in Germany, Antonia moved to London with her family at the ripe old age of 3. After completing her studies at Met Film School, she moved to Amsterdam and started her own Production Company in 2015. After working on music videos and commercial content for several years, over time, her focus has evolved toward intimate, character-driven stories that explore the deep bond between people and planet. Her films often explore climate resilience, land restoration, and the quiet power of individuals shaping a better
future.
Over the last two years, Antonia has adjusted her approach, leaning into documentary filmmaking and shooting her own productions. It allowed her to work with incredible organisations and individuals who are working hard to create small positive changes for our planet. Her work now primarily revolves around land stewards, such as farmers and modern artists, filming for the Amsterdam Museum and working on a current short doc about a gallerist in Mallorca, Spain.
